Which internet provider is the best in Malaysia?

Malaysia itself is still slow in line speed compared to Japan and Hong Kong, but is gradually catching up with the introduction of optical fiber.

TIME is the best internet provider in Malaysia.

TIME is a company that offers high-speed internet using fiber optics, and it is reasonable and fast.

However, the number of lines has been increased mainly in KL, so the places where it can be installed in local cities are still limited.

The next recommendation is

Malaysia’s long internet-established Telecom Malaysia’s UNIFI.

It covers almost all of Malaysia.

For UNIFI, the line speed was not so fast for the price.

Recently, optical fiber has been introduced to increase the speed.

UNIFI has a great deal in terms of being set with TV viewing.

Also, with a new average speed of 20M, UNIFI Air has been introduced and a new plan has been established to allow the introduction of the Internet without installing a line.

In areas where the TIME Internet is not available, UNIFI is the second choice.

The third choice is UNIFI Air.

Internet service is limited by the place where you are. You can find out whether your place can be installed the service from each website.

Mobile carriers offer internet using MOBIFI, which has less regional restrictions.

Digi, Maxis, and Celcom, among others, are typical telephone companies.

This has the advantage that any company can connect to the Internet via WIFI device, so you can use it immediately after contracting.

Most plans of mobile phone companies have an upper limit of data usage at the time of contract and you can use even if you exceed the limit, but speed is limited so it is practically too slow to use.

The DIGI Infinite Plan, which solves the problem of the mobile phone carrier’s usage limit, is an unlimited plan that can be selected along with TIME and UNIFI.

If you use DIGI’s RM150 Infinite Plan, you can use the data plan without limit.

If you are a Malaysian, you can easily apply from the DIGI site and a SIM card will be delivered, but if you are a foreigner, you need to go directly to the DIGI shop to apply .

If you are a foreigner, you need to make a deposit and it is a bit troublesome process to apply, but in areas where you cannot apply for TIME or UNIFI, this is the best plan.

After subscribing to DIGI’s Infinite Plan, I became able to watch videos without worrying about usage.

However, when using MOBIFI, you need to constantly care about the battery level.

If you leave the power connected, the battery will expand and will not last for a year.

The problem was solved by purchasing a WIFI router that could use a household power supply and insert a SIM.

I purchased a WIFI router at the Internet sales site LAZADA, and I was able to build a comfortable Internet environment.

Also, if you subscribe to this plan, if you use this SIM when traveling to neighboring 10 countries as an ancillary service, 5 GB of roaming data and 1 hour of calling will be free on a monthly basis. As you don’t have to purchase local SIM card of the country after arriving at the airport, you can save time and money.

Conclusion

A place where TIME can be installed, TIME is the best plan.

If TIME cannot be installed, consider whether UNIFI Fiber Plan can be installed.

If not, consider installing UNIFI Air.

Then consider DIGI’s Infinite plan as the last option.

When I considered the installation, there was no option for UNIFI Air, so I chose the DIGI Infinite plan, but UNIFI Air has the following advantages.

There is no roaming service, but the price is close to half the price of DIGI and if tied up for two years, it comes with the equipment.

With SIM only, you can cancel at any time without penalty.

Initial contract fee is only RM100.

However, the area where it can be installed is quite limited, so you need to check the availability first.
